OpenFPGA Steering Group Call-in Summary

Participating: OSC, Sandia National Lab, University of Cincinnati, Oak Ridge National Lab, Nallatech, Cray, Mitrion, SRC, HPTi

The OpenFPGA website is in the process of being updated.

• Add the benchmarking working group to the website
• Also add FAQ
• Update site to include Oak Ridge National Lab
• Include more sign-up instructions
• Events are under construction until fixed

Mail traffic on the site is picking up

• Link archives to the website

Working group updates

• Establish mailing list for T-BENCH working group
• Instructions sent out again on how to sign-up and how leads can manage working groups
• Draft for comment distributed for updated smith-waterman algorithm benchmark

Organizational updates

• Bylaws are in progress for stand alone organization, draft around first of year
• Waiting on approval to use university funds to establish
• Will establish 6 month interim board
• Invoices sent for OpenFPGA tshirts; checking on use of funds for incorporation
• Coordinating possible support from outside supercomputer group to get OpenFPGA started

Opportunity for next steering group meeting being considered

• Suggestions being sought
