OpenFPGA Steering Group Meeting - July 5, 2005

Attending:
U of South Carolina, OSC, U of Manchester, NCSA, Starbridge, Mitrion, ZIB

Review of action items
summary from previous meeting needed to be posted and sent out
scheduling for face to face steering group meeting in Chicago ready to go

This meeting primarily focused on the goals for the first face to face meeting on the 15th.
About ten participants were planning to attend while others would call in.

The goals of the face to face meeting are Goal 1: Need to have a complete organization document to use to engage those beyond the steering group with specifics of what it is, what’s going on.
Goal 2: Plans for the BOF at SC05.

Focusing on organizational structure first and then move to technical discussions is recommended.

There was additional discussion about adding content to the OpenFPGA website, including links to each participants FPGA activities, tutorial announcements for OpenFPGA members, additional activities on the forums and expanded steering group participation.

The call-in meeting for the 19th was cancelled in light of the face to face meeting occurring 4 days prior.
