OpenFPGA Forums

OpenFPGA has established a forum for discussion of ideas related to open reconfigurable computing with FPGAs. The forums provide an opportunity to freely exchange ideas and information among everyone interested in this effort. The activity on the forums will be regularly summarized and distributed through the OpenFPGA mailing list to better serve the community. Be sure to sign up on the OpenFPGA mailing list to receive the forum activity summaries.

Initial threads have been established in six key areas. New threads of discussion will emerge as information and interest dictate. The initial areas of discussion include:

  • Education – educating, training and preparing developers and users of reconfigurable FPGA technologies
  • Reconfigurable Computing successes – demonstrating applications where reconfigurable computing has made significant impact
  • Benchmarking – establishing and measuring performance of applications incorporating FPGAs
  • Tools and Development – discussions of methods, best practices and present needs and challenges facing FPGA application development
  • Standards – advancements towards commonly accepted and standard practices
  • Community Efforts - Building the OpenFPGA and reconfigurable computing communities

The OpenFPGA effort remains dedicated to open participation by academic, governmental and commercial interests in reconfigurable computing worldwide. We would like to gratefully acknowledge the support of RCNewsNow.com, an emerging clearing house of reconfigurable computing information, in their efforts to make the OpenFPGA forums possible.

Disclaimer: The forums are open to encourage full participation. Any information posted to the forum will be considered as being publicly disclosed. By signing up and participating in the OpenFPGA forum, you acknowledge the open nature of the forum and understand that OpenFPGA and any organization supporting the effort cannot be held liable for any damages related to content posted on these sites.
